The comic 'two of cups.'
Panel 1: A cup lays on its side while another stands upwards. A drip of water begins to fall in the standing cup. The speech bubble reads:
'They just put up the late queen's statue. It's really beautiful...'
Panel 2: An upwards angle of a peaceful statue, dressed in a winged-themed outfit as they hold a cup in their hands. A person looks up at it. The speech bubble reads:
'It even has the queen's cup.'
Panel 3: A person, with long hair, black attire and cape, standing anxiously as water begins to fill up in the background. The speech bubble reads:
'I hear they were both quite unstable.'
'Well, it was out of necessity after all. They got along well and the kingdom flourished.'
Panel 4: Close up of the person's face biting their lip as tears begin to run down their face. The water rises up to the base of their neck.
Panel 5: The person begins to wail. The water rises to over their head.
Panel 6: A shattered cup with water continuously pouring on it. The speech bubbles read:
                    'You don't think...?'
'... Let's not talk about this.'
                    'You two! Close the gates!'
                    'W-what? What happened?'
'The king! He... His cup overflowed and shattered!'

author's notes

I made this comic using a prompt from Scott McCloud's book Making Comics: Storytelling Secrets of Making Comics (would reccommend!). I used to make a lot of comics when I was younger so I used a prompt to get myself back into it.

The prompt used was: The queen died and the king died of grief after her.
